After two and half years of sharing an Appalachian menu, live jazz music and immersive dinner theater, the partners of Lex 18 will be moving onto life’s next grand adventure. In its place, comes a fabulous Caribbean inspired restaurant by visionary businesswoman, author and restaurateur Esther Frances Joseph.

Located at 18 North Lexington Avenue in the historic downtown of Asheville, Lex 18 serves dishes inspired by the farm to table tradition with modern twists on Appalachia recipes. Owner Partner team includes Georgia Malki, Alan Van de Kamp, Joe Caristo and Joseph Malki (brother). Running our kitchen is husband and wife team, Chef Chris and Jennie Townsend, passionate about and committed to a Southern Appalachian menu. The restaurant is an intimate space known for its prohibition era decor, romantic atmosphere, 1920’s costumed wait staff, craft moonshine cocktails and nightly live jazz.
